English spelling variants
The reviewer is instructed to accept spellings such as organised, programme and centre. Review a suggested correction before applying it, especially for names, technical terms and regional usage.
Contact and personal details
The extraction process is instructed to capture details present in the file. That does not mean every detail belongs in an application. Remove unnecessary sensitive information and follow the employer’s document requirements.
Length and experience level
Our length check uses a two-page threshold, or three pages for an inferred senior, lead or executive level. Those thresholds are product heuristics, not universal rules for CVs or application documents.
Role relevance
The review suggests keywords and comments on the document’s apparent target. Check those suggestions against the actual vacancy. Add relevant experience you can support rather than copying a list of terms into the CV.

It checks layout, contact details, headings, role information, inferred keyword coverage and length. It does not connect to the employer’s applicant tracking system.
A low format score is a reason to inspect the file. For example, check that contact details are selectable text and that copying the document’s text preserves a sensible reading order. Follow any file-type or layout instructions in the application.
Some visual checks cannot be assessed from a text-only extraction. The score excludes checks marked unobservable and rescales the remaining points. A high score therefore does not mean that every visual feature was checked.

A full academic CV needs a different review.
Publication lists, grants, research, teaching and service can require substantially more detail than a short employment resume.
Do not remove relevant academic evidence just to improve this checker’s length score. Use the institution’s instructions to decide which sections and supporting documents belong in the application.
The checker can suggest writing and structure edits, but it does not verify publication records, credential eligibility, research quality or an appointment committee’s criteria. Check those separately and review any proposed changes to specialist terminology.
