These terms govern your use of the ResumeGuru website and product. They are written in plain language so you can actually read them.
Acceptance
By using this website or purchasing any service from us, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the website or buy the service.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use CareerOS, and at least 16 if you are in the European Union, or older where your local law requires it. By using the service you confirm you meet this age requirement.
Permitted and prohibited use
You may use CareerOS to build and improve your own career documents. You may not:
→Use it to create content that is false, misleading, or fraudulent about your experience
→Resell, scrape, or bulk-extract the service or its output
→Attempt to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the platform
→Use it to harass, impersonate, or harm others
Breaking these rules can lead to suspension or removal of your account.
AI accuracy
CareerOS uses AI to generate drafts and advice. AI output can be wrong or incomplete. You are responsible for reviewing everything before you use it professionally. We build Vale not to invent your experience, but you remain the final check on accuracy.
What we provide
ResumeGuru is a software product. It includes the free AI resume review, CareerOS (your Career Story, resume and cover letter generation, LinkedIn drafts, and the Vale assistant), one-time passes and the watermark unlock, and the prepaid Pro and Max subscriptions. What each purchase includes is described on the pricing page and confirmed in your order email.
Your responsibilities
The product works from the information you give it. You agree to:
→Provide truthful and accurate details about your work history, education, and skills
→Not use the product to fabricate or misrepresent your experience
The product is built to refuse fabrication. This is in your interest as much as ours.
Payment
All prices are listed on the pricing page. Payment is collected through Razorpay or PayPal. Purchases unlock immediately after payment is confirmed. Prices include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
Refunds
Refunds are reviewed case by case; filing a request does not guarantee one. The one-time watermark unlock is not refundable. Details are on our Refund Policy page.
Intellectual property
The documents you create with the product are yours. You own the resumes, cover letters, and LinkedIn copy you generate. We retain ownership of the product itself, including our frameworks, prompts, scoring systems, and templates. We do not publish your documents.
Disclaimers
The product exists to make your materials genuinely better, but no product can guarantee an interview or a job offer. Hiring outcomes depend on the job market, your experience, your interview performance, and many other factors outside our control. We make no guarantee of interviews, offers, or any specific outcome.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim related to the product is limited to the amount you paid us for the purchase giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Past writing-service orders
ResumeGuru no longer offers the human resume-writing service. These terms govern the software product. If you have a question about a past writing-service order, write to rohit@resumeguru.in and we will sort it out directly.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Bangalore, India. If we change these terms materially, we will update the date at the top and, for significant changes, notify existing users by email.
