10 LPA in-hand salary: about INR 71,121 a month.
On a CTC of INR 10,00,000 a year you take home about INR 71,121 a month under the new tax regime and INR 64,778 under the old regime.
A raise to just under 13.92 LPA stays free of income tax. One a little above it leaves you with less.
At 10 LPA the new regime takes no income tax: taxable income is INR 8,40,950, and the rebate cancels its INR 24,095 of slab tax. With the same structure that holds for a raise of up to 39%, to a CTC just under 13.92 LPA, and each extra INR 1 lakh of CTC on the way adds about INR 85,595 a year in hand, after the employer's PF and gratuity and your own PF.
Past that line the rebate gives way to marginal relief, which lets the tax reach every rupee of taxable income above INR 12 lakh, with the 4% cess on top. Each extra rupee of taxable income there costs INR 1.04 in tax and cess, so a higher CTC leaves less in hand: at 14.5 LPA you would take home INR 11,83,375 a year, INR 5,605 less than at 13.92 LPA.
Only from about 14.8 LPA does an offer leave more in hand than 13.92 LPA does. Weighing an offer from 10 LPA, compare the in-hand pay, not the CTC.
From a 10 LPA CTC to your bank account.
Basic pay at 50% of CTC, PF at 12% of full basic for you and your employer, gratuity at 4.81% of basic inside the CTC, the Maharashtra rate of professional tax for men, no variable pay and no old regime deductions beyond PF and professional tax.
