25 LPA in-hand salary: about INR 1,56,126 a month.
On a CTC of INR 25,00,000 a year you take home about INR 1,56,126 a month under the new tax regime and INR 1,40,093 under the old regime.
Your PF alone fills the INR 1.5 lakh section 123 limit.
At 25 LPA your basic pay is INR 12,50,000 a year, and your 12% PF on it is INR 1,50,000: the whole section 123 limit. Under the old regime, PPF, ELSS, life insurance or children's tuition fees save no further tax from this level up, because your PF has already used the limit.
The new regime is in its 25% slab now: taxable income of INR 22,14,875 is past the INR 20 lakh line. It still leaves INR 1,92,394 more a year than the old regime, which would need about INR 6,17,000 of other deductions to match it, none of them under section 123.
If your employer counts PF only up to the INR 25,000 ceiling, your own PF is INR 36,000 a year and the section 123 limit has INR 1,14,000 of room again.
Each extra INR 1 lakh of CTC from here adds about INR 61,780 a year in hand under the new regime but only INR 57,018 under the old, which already taxes the top of your income at 30% against the new regime's 25%. That is why the new regime's lead keeps growing until about 27.03 LPA, where both reach 30%.
From a 25 LPA CTC to your bank account.
Basic pay at 50% of CTC, PF at 12% of full basic for you and your employer, gratuity at 4.81% of basic inside the CTC, the Maharashtra rate of professional tax for men, no variable pay and no old regime deductions beyond PF and professional tax.
