30 LPA in-hand salary: about INR 1,80,686 a month.
On a CTC of INR 30,00,000 a year you take home about INR 1,80,686 a month under the new tax regime and INR 1,63,851 under the old regime.
Both regimes reach 30%, so the gap between them stops growing.
New regime taxable income is INR 26,72,850, past the INR 24 lakh line, so both regimes now tax each extra rupee at 30%. Your PF is INR 1,80,000 a year, more than section 123 allows, so the old regime gains no new deduction as the salary rises.
From a CTC of about 27.03 LPA until the new regime's surcharge begins at about 55.41 LPA, the new regime's lead stays at INR 2,02,020 a year, and the old regime needs the same INR 6,48,000 or so of extra deductions to match it.
Each extra INR 1 lakh of CTC now adds the same INR 57,017 a year in hand under either regime: what is left after the employer's PF and gratuity, your own PF, and 30% tax with cess. Below about 27.03 LPA a raise added more under the new regime; from here the choice between the two is settled by your deductions alone.
Above that line a 10% surcharge applies to income over INR 50 lakh, with marginal relief, and the old regime reaches it at a different salary, so the comparison moves again.
From a 30 LPA CTC to your bank account.
Basic pay at 50% of CTC, PF at 12% of full basic for you and your employer, gratuity at 4.81% of basic inside the CTC, the Maharashtra rate of professional tax for men, no variable pay and no old regime deductions beyond PF and professional tax.
