7 LPA in-hand salary: about INR 49,722 a month.
On a CTC of INR 7,00,000 a year you take home about INR 49,722 a month under the new tax regime and INR 47,830 under the old regime.
The old regime's rebate runs out, and the two regimes part ways.
Old regime taxable income at 7 LPA is INR 5,46,665, INR 46,665 over the INR 5 lakh limit of that regime's rebate. The old regime has no marginal relief, so all of its slab tax falls due: INR 22,706 a year with cess, for being INR 46,665 over the line.
The new regime still charges nothing, because its rebate covers taxable income up to INR 12 lakh and yours is INR 5,66,165. That makes 7 LPA the first of these levels where your choice of regime matters: the new one leaves INR 49,722 a month against INR 47,830, INR 22,706 more over the year.
Your basic of INR 29,167 a month is now above the INR 25,000 PF ceiling. If your employer contributes only on the ceiling, both PF shares fall from INR 3,500 to INR 3,000 a month, and because the CTC is the same, the difference is paid as salary: new regime in-hand rises to INR 50,722.
From a 7 LPA CTC to your bank account.
Basic pay at 50% of CTC, PF at 12% of full basic for you and your employer, gratuity at 4.81% of basic inside the CTC, the Maharashtra rate of professional tax for men, no variable pay and no old regime deductions beyond PF and professional tax.
