Replace a service catalogue with engineering evidence
A long list of EC2, S3, RDS and other services tells the reader very little on its own. Explain how a service supported a real workload and what you changed. Infrastructure definitions, reviewed changes, alert tests and recovery exercises show practical work. Describe collaboration with application, security and finance colleagues when their approval was required. If you only used a service in a personal lab, put that evidence in projects rather than presenting it as production responsibility.
Be careful with reliability and security claims
Avoid unsupported promises such as zero downtime or fully secure infrastructure. Describe the measured period and the specific change instead. Participating in a restore exercise shows useful preparation, but it does not establish a guaranteed recovery time for every failure. Similarly, reviewing an IAM policy is different from owning the organisation's identity controls. A framework can help organise a review, but mentioning it is not a credential or proof that every requirement was met.
Explain cost results with a fair comparison
Cloud spending changes with workload, pricing and service mix. If you include a saving, identify the environment, the cost category and the comparison period. Right-sizing non-production compute may be a good result without saying the entire cloud bill fell by the same amount. Keep confidential account details and commercial commitments private. In an interview, be ready to explain the utilisation evidence, the review process and any performance or availability trade-offs considered before making the change.
