Let the portfolio and resume do different jobs

The resume gives context: your role, dates, leadership scope and contribution. The portfolio shows selected work and the reasoning behind it. Link only to work you have permission to show. Label collaborative projects and identify what you directed or created yourself. Do not imply that every image in a team case study was your individual execution.

Make leadership observable

Explain how you gave feedback, organised reviews or resolved a disagreement about the brief. A phrase such as inspired a world-class team is hard to assess. An annotated review process or a clear set of design criteria is more concrete. Show whether you managed people directly, led a project team or coordinated external specialists; those arrangements demonstrate different responsibilities.

Handle campaign results with care

Revenue, reach and conversion depend on more than creative work. If you include a campaign result, state the relevant channel, measurement period and your contribution without claiming sole causation. A credible qualitative result can be stronger than a number you cannot substantiate. This example describes a reduction in repeated design feedback rather than inventing a commercial return.
