Preparing your CV for Belgium
EURES highlights language skills in Belgian applications and recommends describing levels clearly, including through CEFR where appropriate. It advises no photo unless required for the job or requested, and says private details such as age and marital status need not be supplied.

Read the language requirements for the actual workplace and role. Do not assume that a vacancy in Brussels uses only French or only Dutch. Keep your language levels separate so the employer can assess each one.
A practical writing example
Instead of “multilingual”, a candidate could state “Dutch: C1; French: B1; English: professional working proficiency.” Use CEFR levels only when you can justify them, and distinguish a self-assessment from a test result.
