Choose the right order and technical detail

Place a short summary above technical skills, then show employment in reverse chronological order. Name the database platforms you have actually queried and describe the business setting in your first bullet. A recruiter should be able to see whether you worked with operational databases, a warehouse or a reporting copy. Avoid listing every SQL command as a separate skill. A small group of meaningful capabilities is easier to understand than a long vocabulary list.

Write query improvements that can be checked

The query example gives a baseline, a revised runtime and the change made. Those details are more useful than saying you optimised database performance. Keep the comparison fair: explain the workload, typical dataset size or test conditions if asked. Do not reuse this sample measurement as your own. If you cannot share a production figure, describe the affected report and the verified change without a number. Credit administrator or engineering support where relevant.

Separate data quality from business results

Useful evidence includes resolved duplicate records, reconciled totals, clearer field definitions and fewer recurring import exceptions. Explain what you checked and who used the result. Finding a discrepancy is not the same as recovering revenue, and an automated check does not prove that every record is correct. Write the observation you can defend. For example, checked supplier identifiers before each import describes a concrete control without claiming complete error elimination across the system.
