Example Education, shown in the Classic template. Fictional example. Names, employers and achievements are illustrative; contact details are placeholders.

This example is for a social science teacher applying within an Indian school context. It names subjects, grades and qualifications so the reader can assess the fit. It does not prescribe the same format or eligibility rules for every school.

Explain the teaching scope

The current role covers history, civics and geography across Grades 6 to 10. The earlier assistant-teacher role shows a narrower teaching scope. That progression is more useful than listing ten years of teaching with no distinction between appointments.

Use current, relevant evidence

The example describes assessment coordination, map-work instruction and student research activities. Each can be explained through a specific task, the materials used and the applicant's contribution.

Name qualifications without extending their meaning

List the degree and any relevant test or registration with accurate dates and status. Different employers and education authorities set their own requirements. Do not assume a test result alone establishes eligibility for a particular appointment.

Include only the requested personal details

Start with name, location and reliable contact details. A school’s application form may ask for additional information, but that does not require adding a broad personal-details block to every resume. Keep identity documents separate.
