Show the commercial context early
Place a short category-specific summary above skills and recent employment. Describe the scale in terms you can support, such as stores, products or seasonal reviews. Do not combine product variants, styles and stock-keeping units into one count without understanding the difference in your organisation. The fictional candidate has worked in buying since June 2021. A five-year summary describes that history without implying five years of authority over the entire range.
Connect information to a buying decision
A useful bullet moves from information to a recommendation. Explain whether you reviewed sales by store, stock availability, customer feedback or supplier samples, then say what you proposed. Noticing a slow seller is different from authorising a markdown. Preparing a range review is different from signing a purchase commitment. Clear verbs help the reader understand your contribution and make it easier to discuss a specific decision during an interview.
Use margin and sell-through figures carefully
If you include a commercial measure, state the product group and period. Compare like-for-like figures and distinguish a recommendation from the result of a completed season. Promotions, availability and demand can all affect outcomes, so do not attribute every change to your selection alone. The sample establishes scope without inventing a margin improvement. A well-explained range decision can be stronger evidence than an impressive percentage with no definition.
