Turn test cases into evidence of reasoning
A useful bullet explains what could go wrong and how you checked it. Required fields, validation messages and record access can behave differently across users and states. Show that you tested more than the happy path by describing a relevant role, setup or exception. You do not need to put an entire test script in the resume. A concise account of the scenario, expected behaviour and defect evidence gives an interviewer a meaningful starting point.
Distinguish functional testing from Apex tests
Salesforce provides facilities for running Apex tests, but executing those tests is different from writing them or owning functional acceptance. State which work you performed. If developers maintained unit tests while you verified business workflows, describe that collaboration accurately. A passing code-test run does not demonstrate that every user journey or permission boundary works as intended. Avoid using a code coverage percentage as a substitute for a clear explanation of the behaviours you tested.
Make defects and release evidence concrete
Explain how you recorded the user role, test data, reproduction steps and actual result. Better defect reports can reduce clarification cycles and help a team retest efficiently. Include a measurement period when you quote an improvement. Do not claim that a release was defect-free because your test suite passed. Record your contribution to the release decision while keeping approval with the person who held that authority. Shared outcomes can appear when the team context remains clear.
