Give management scope without inflating it
Use the opening summary to establish your planning background and the size of the responsibility. Follow it with recent leadership experience, then earlier analytical work. The fictional candidate has eight years across those roles, with management beginning in 2023. That does not mean eight years managing a supply chain. If you owned one product group or site, keep that boundary explicit rather than write global strategy for a local remit.
Explain a planning rhythm and its output
A meeting name is not an achievement. Describe which inputs you bring together, what exceptions you surface and how actions are recorded. For a demand and supply review, useful evidence might be a documented decision on a constrained component or a revised plan agreed with production. Do not claim that a forecast became accurate because you introduced a dashboard. Show what information changed a decision and how the team followed through.
Use service and inventory measures responsibly
When you report a measure, specify the definition, product scope and period. Inventory reduction can be harmful if it creates shortages; improved availability may require a different investment. Explain the trade-off you managed and avoid presenting one number as proof of overall performance. The sample uses exception ownership and decision records instead of an invented optimisation percentage. If you have verified results, include a baseline and describe your contribution alongside other teams.
